Islamic History of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA),

First Life :

Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A) is Third Caliph of Islam. Hazrat Usman (R.A) 573 A.D in Umayyah tribe of Quraysh in Mecca was born in the family of a highly coveted. As they had the responsibility of keeping the flag of the clan of Banu Umayyah Quraysh people enjoyed a great position. His father Affan bin Abdul as and his mother as Arwa was known. His complete name was Usman ibn Affan. His familial history also matched with that of the Holy Prophe Muhammad (S).

The first two caliphs, or successors, to the Prophet Muhammad (S), who left no male heir when he died in his early sixties in 632, were Abu Bakr Siddiq and Umar Farooq, who presided over the campaigns which carried Islam outside Arabia into Palestine, Syria, Mesopotamia, Persia, Egypt and North Africa. Both men had been friends and disciples of Muhammad (S) since the early days in Mecca and they were the fathers of two of his wives. Another obvious candidate for the caliphate was Ali ibn abu Talib, Muhammad’s young cousin and adopted son, who married Muhammad’s (S) daughter Fatimah. Their two sons were the prophet’s only male descendants.

when Umar Farooq (R.A) died in 644 the tiny group of disciples responsible for choosing the new caliph passed over Ali and selected a seventy-year-old, Usman ibn Affan, a merchant prince of Mecca, who had been another early convert. Barnaby Rogerson suggests in his book, The Heirs of the Prophet Muhammad (S) that there may have been an uneasy feeling that the choice of Ali could make the caliphate hereditary. Hazrat Usman (R.A) was no warrior, but he was an efficient administrator. His most influential achievement was the creation of the first definitive written edition of the Koran, completed by 650. Discontent mounted, however, over the favour Uthman showed to his own Ummayad family, who seemed to enjoy a monopoly of influential and lucrative appointments.

Never take off the shirt of Caliphate that Allah will put on you for ten years and six months. While Hazrat Osman (R.A) was leaving, our Prophet Muhammad (S) told him, May Allah grant you patience. You will be martyred while you will be fasting and you will break your fast with me (Imam Suyuti, our Prophet Muhammad (S) with his Extraordinary Features, Iz Publishing, Istanbul, p.729

Martyrdom of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) :

Despite the apparent conspiracy against the Caliph, Hazrat Usman (R.A) belief that he should not use force against the Muslims put faith in. He always force your opponents from using them due to heart and thought of explaining it remained. Usman (R.A) because of their hatred for, one day, when he entered his house (R.A) was reading the Holy Quran. They brutally killed in her own home. Thus, Hazrat Usman (R.A) Friday Dhul Hijjah, 35 AH was assassinated on the 17th when he was 84 years old.
